I have a BS in Health Education and I am a certified teacher in MA. I have recently moved to CA in search of work experience in the health field before returning to the classroom. However, after six months of applying to various health related jobs without landing any positions I am ready to search for health teaching jobs in the classroom setting again. Does anyone know what that process would entail? I know the first step is to take the cbest, but from there I am unsure of how to search for health educator openings at local schools. I'd appreciate any help of information.
I am thinking of being a Health Education teacher, mainly just teaching Health in the classroom. Will a degree in Health Administration Allow me to work in this field?

GaryIt's about time that show made it onto the air. We need some real life AKA TV examples of what teens raising kids really looks like. Its not Juno and not everyone has the dough that Jamie Lynn Spears has...
They should teach these contestants on The Baby Borrowers about safe sex since that would help avoid the mess of having kids when you're not ready...even if you think you are.
Hello. I am a teacher and author of "Keeping Memories Alive," a keepsake activity book for children who are healing after the death of a family member or friend. My book is used as a resource for parents, teachers, school counselors, social workers, and anyone who is helping school-age children through the grieving process. Inside the pages, a child can write memories, draw pictures, and add color to natural images such as clouds, raindrops, flowers, sunrise, and sunset--all of which suggests the cycle of life. A poem gently reassures children that our memories will live on, securely within our hearts. Copies may be obtained by contacting Memory Lane Press, Book price: $3.00, postage $1.00. I'd be happy to answer any questions or send copies of reviews. I can be reached at 443-528-6464. Thank you. MiMi Zannino, Publisher and Author, [link removed].
Please note that this is updated contact information from my 4/21/040 post.
Leah For young children, Pre-k - 3rd grade, see the Kelly Bear resources for a character education program CARES. Also see 80 reproducible teacher articles, 10 parenting handouts, and 10 children's activities.
Also, under Activities, is a reproducible Health activity.
This is my 3rd year teaching, however, I taught biology for the last two years. I'll be teaching two classes of 8th grade health and I am clueless on how to start planning. They will be 90 minute block classes and I need help with lessons and activities. I am using the Glencoe Health & Wellness textbook. Please suggest lesson plans I can use??
