What is Tongkat Ali Extract? Tongkat Ali is a popular folk name for Eurycoma longifolia, a medium size slender tree reaching 10 metres in height. The name Tongkat Ali means Alis walking stick. Another folk name for the plant is Longjack. Tongkat Ali is native to Malaysia, lower Burma, Thailand, and Indonesia. The root is employed as a traditional remedy for the treatment of malaria, high blood pressure, fevers, fatigue, loss of sexual desire, and impotence. Tongkat Ali is a scientifically studied plant which holds up brilliantly under close scrutiny. The root contains a plethora of beneficial compounds, including potent protective antioxidants which inhibit cellular aging. Other phytochemicals in Tongkat Ali are anti-viral, anti- malarial, and anti-cancerous. Others combat high blood pressure, and quell dysentery. Quassinoids in the root prove twice as potent as aspirin against fevers. Tongkat Ali extract increased the formation of testosterone fourfold. Increasing testosterone is the big objective from a sex drive standpoint. Testosterone is the most important of the male sex hormones, which are known as androgens, and are produced in the gonads. Testosterone plays a key role in the development and maturity of male sex organs. The hormone promotes secondary sex characteristics including the appearance of facial hair, enlargement of the larynx (producing a deeper voice), sexual desire and sexual behavior. But testosterone is not just a sex booster for men. Women also produce testosterone, about 5 ~ 10% the amount produced in men. In women, this vital hormone also fans the flames of ardor, and increases sensitivity in the erogenous zones. In both sexes, testosterone stimulates metabolism, promotes lipogenesis (burning of fat), increases the formation of red blood cells, and accelerates muscle growth. With Tongkat Ali extract you can boost your testosterone levels back up to more youthful levels. Studies also found that Tongkat Ali extract inhibits Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. By inhibiting this agent, more free testosterone remains in the blood. This additionally stems the aging process, improving energy and sexual function, helping to reduce body fat, and reducing risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease. Where will be Tongkat Ali Extract used to ? Malaria Fevers Fatigue Loss of sexual desire Impotence Weight loss. Packing Detail: Packed in paper-drums and two plastic-bags inside. I would like to know if any health teachers have found it difficult to teach the children any subjects (like the lesson on abstience and puberty. How long does this lesson last and has anyone had any concerns teaching this lesson?

I usually make sure that all words are spelled right! Joke. But the kids will see that and my middle schoolers do not let it go! I teach puberty for about two days. My class time is about 40 minutes per class and that only leaves me around 30 minutes or true instruction. I do this... Make a transparency or power point presentation of the stages of change of male then a separate one for female. Depending on your situation you may want to separate the males and females and see if other teachers or media center can help you by taking the other children. Check with a local hospital or doctors office to see if you can get a MD to give part of a presentation and help answer questions that students might have. I try to get a male Doctor for the boys and female doctor for the girls. Figure out the stages by researching them and break it down. A good independent study is to have student's write a story about a make believe person who is transitioning from adolescents to adult hood and have them incorporate the different changes and stages that the person will go through. Let the students be creative and allow them to tell a story and explore different experiences that might happen when the character is moving through the change.
I am a NYS certified N-9 (N-6 and 7-9 ext. General Science) teacher. I want an additional certification extension in Health K-12. How do I go about this? Can I take a Clep exam? HELP!!! Health teachers!
Lisa; CLEP exams are replacement for any course that would apply within our curriculum. I believe I took my 3 credit course test in Human Growth and Development. I had to take it twice because I failed round 1. That said I got a waiver to take it within 6 months which is there standard....FYI
Does anyone have High School Health Lesson plans they would be willing to share with me? I am really looking for some new ideas, that not only challenge me, but also my students.

I am a health science teacher in Anniston, Al and when I have to teach lessons on the human body parts such as the heart, I actually use animal parts. If you have a local taxidermist that will give you the organs after they have processed the deer, you can show the students how a heart, stomach, etc. actually looks. Your science teachers can also be a big help to you, by supplying the dissection trays and supplies. Hope this helps.
Is anyone a HOPE (Health Opportunities through Physical Education) teacher? I am looking for some guidance. I am still developing myself as a Health teacher and they threw PE in the mix, which I have no background in, even though most people think they are the same. Anything helps!
Thanks for the suggestion. He has not bought anything yet. He did retake it, waiting to see if he passed. I was trying to find an on- line study guide. He found one with a few questions, but they were all easy and on topic. It didn't contain the obscure things that would not even be brought up in a public school health class and that is what he needs.

One thing you need to be very careful of is your spelling, no matter what you want to teach. To spell 'what' as 'wat' gives a poor impression, no matter what the subject.
