I would tell you to be ready to look for a Health job right before school starts. It seems like often times no one wants to teach Health and History teachers end up teaching a few sections of it, etc. If you were willing to do it part time, you might find something in late August or early September...If you need materials to teach Health, check out my website at:

We are seeking support from teachers and health professionals in the form of helping us spread the word about the initiative and locate volunteers.
The goal of this initiative is to educate children on the importance of making healthy choices when eating school lunches or bag lunches. The initiative will utilize the easy to understand AASDN Lunch Placemat™ which incorporates a worksheet and a star rating system*.
In addition to personal reward, volunteers will receive national recognition, recognition on the AASDN website, and all volunteers will receive AASDN contact hours directly proportional to the number of hours spent in volunteering.

Does anyone have any great behavior management systems for a whole class? Behavior management is getting more and more challenging, especially for specialists. I teach grades 1-4 Health Ed at 3 schools.
I would like to go to graduate school to become a high school or middle school health teacher. What are some graduate programs I should look at? (I am open to any program in the US)
