All movies go into extreme detail about the toxicity in the food that we eat. Do you think that they are inappropriate for 14 year olds. These movies are very bias towards drug companies. Basically they present drug companies in an evil way. Food inc presents monsanto and conventional ag in a bad way.
Food Matters is a very scary movie that describes the toxicity in the food. How would you feel if your kid say these movies. I am just wondering.
Why do you focus on toxins in foods alone? The greatest threat is obesity and the kinds of foods we eat -- there are many reasons to avoid packaged prepared foods. Show super-size me - every kid should see that. Four fils about food toxins will make parents think that you're lazy and just showing films or they'll think you're a one trick pony -- branch out. > these movies. I am just wondering.

Hi. I'm on my teaching prac at the moment. I need to do a lesson on fire safety in the home and I wanted to show the students a picture of a room or house that has a lot of things wrong that could start a fire. Does anyone know of a website where I could find such a picture. I've been googling but haven't come up with anything.
I've finally found resources to teach my Special Ed students about grooming and hygiene. These videos look AMAZING and the kids love them. It helps start a conversation without singling anyone out.
We're LifeDojo, an online Life Skills academy in it's beginning stages. We're a team of educators/nonprofit folks that think the "life skills educator" is undersupported and undervalued in the education process. We're building LifeDojo as a one-stop platform for health educators to assign fully developed virtual classes, track students in a web-based back-end, and build a community within their classes.
The classes will always be free. We're VERY focused on building a product Health Teachers will actually benefit from, so we're looking for folks willing to have a 15 minute phone call with us (likely myself, Chris, the CEO).
About me: I recently ran a U.S. Dept of Education initiative called the "Promise Neighborhood" in NYC. Having worked closely with dozens of teachers, I have since decided the most important thing needed in education is quality education on topics that improve the mental, emotional, and other non-academic skills of students.
