Hello. I am a teacher and author of "Keeping Memories Alive," a keepsake activity book for children who are healing after the death of a family member or friend. My book is used as a resource for parents, teachers, school counselors, social workers, and any individual who is helping school-age children through the grieving process. Inside the pages, a child can write memories, draw pictures, and add color to natural images such as clouds, raindrops, flowers, sunrise, and sunset--all of which suggests the cycle of life. A poem gently reassures children that our memories will live on, securely within our hearts. Copies may be obtained by contacting Memory Lane Press, MiMi Zannino, P.O. Box 400, East New Market, MD 21631. Book price: $3.00, postage $1.00. I'd be happy to answer any questions or send copies of reviews. I can be reached at 410-943-3283. Thank you. This is a new educational web production that captures the human drama of organ donation and transplantation. Great material to teach about organ systems and an important health issue in society.
Also includes a unique professional development/ distance learning opportunity with tuition reimbursement offered.
I am looking for some creative safety lessons (safety tips for the summer) for 2nd and 4th graders. Does anyone have any good lessons that they don't mind sharing?

I posted a long time ago (2003) about having severe frequent headaches. An update....I STILL have headaches. I have tried Chiropractors and TMJ therapy (didn't know I had TMJ). I also had my eyes checked. Just last month, I decided to TRY to eliminate gluten (flour) from my diet. Wouldn't you know, my headaches are a LOT less severe. They also aren't as frequent. I still have headaches every fall and spring for 4-6 weeks due to high mold counts. I had Meat Loaf with gravy the other night, on purpose, wanting to know if the flour in the gravy would give me a headache. About half an hour after eating, my head was pounding and I ended up with a headache for 3 days. Until then, I had gone about 3 weeks with no flour at all. :)
