Hi all,

I was just wondering how many of you current health teachers
include emotional health/wellness in your curriculum. If
so, why and how much focus do you place on it? Is it part
of your state standards or are you able to include it by
loosely interpreting the standards? If you don't, why not?

Personally I feel that emotional health is a vastly
under-represented aspect of health and perhaps the most
important of them all. I relate this to every person's
desire for themselves and their loved ones-- to be happy*
and healthy*. Do you consider it your responsibility to
teach your students how to be happy, or do you perhaps not
feel qualified to do so?

There is so much emphasis placed on financial success in
America today (I don't want to exclude teachers which may be
from other countries, but I don't have any personal
experiences there-- please feel free to share your thoughts
