I was a health teacher in a high school for 6 years and
due to budget cuts- my position was eliminated. It looks
to me like health education is a dying thing...yet there
is so much need for it.
All the positions are part time or health/pe...any insight
or help from anyone?

You are quite correct. I think the reality is that most
schools are facing serious budget cuts from the federal
government. This could be as a result of the war or other
priorities. In any case, the education systems in many
states have to cut jobs to save money. I guess health
education is one of them
