My name is Kevin and I am in the 4th grade. I received
first prize in school for this essay and I thought that I
would send it to you because my mom used to be a teacher in
the public schools.
WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP
My mom taught me always strive to reach my full potential.
She has been a good example of this because she always
seemed to be doing a hundred and one things at once and
always seemed to enjoy what she was doing. I always
thought that she was kind of hyper. She is a musician and
always had private students, was always playing piano in
some restaurant, performing in recitals and weddings, and
having recitals for her kids. My mom always seemed to be a
happy person and taught me that you could always be looking
forward to the ‘NEXT THING’. She was always ready to learn
