I am a graduate student with Gonzaga University. I am conducting a study on the use of Internet Slang within the classroom. Please take a moment and visit my website to take my five minute survey. Additionally, please pass on my website to other high school educators. Thank you for your time and your participation.
Hello, I have a class with 19 students aged 13-14. Their level of English is very good and we would like to have an email Exchange with students from English-speaking countries or European countries that speak English fluently. Thanks in advance.

Sherrie, Thank you for responding to my question. We are having a brain storming meeting this afternoon and I will definitely be sharing your idea. Have a great day :)
AWe use that same system (well, actually, they can choose to stay today OR tomorrow -- but that's IT -- we really hold their feet to the fire on this one). It works great for us.
Perhaps your school isn't enforcing it consistently?
Hello! Anyone here had experience with this website and organization? How useful is it for public high school teachers? Would it be something useful to use with all the teaching staff at a public high school? Thanks in advance!
I am in a very uncomfortable situation in a Henry County school in Georgia. I want to get out of my contract, but I am under contract. Under what conditions is this possible? What advice can anyone give me?
In my state, one must give 30 days notice. If not, they face certificate action if re-employed in a public school during the same school year. YMMV

I am in a bit of a tight situation and I need help formulating a question for my subject, please help me out! I would also love to hear a professional opinion before presenting my idea to my teacher who is quite picky with the work we present. -Desperate Student in the Caribbean
What are YOUR ideas?Maybe if you post some of your ideas somebody might give you some feedback on formulating your question.
Most of us are not really too keen about just "doing the homework" for students, but some of us will give some feedback to students who have put some thought into the homework and just want a little help.

Be sure to collect sufficient measurements to support your conclusion. Try to present the data in table form and, if possible, in a graph(s). If you can obtain a line graph of some kind try to see if you can determine some sort of equation that describes the line. If your conclusion does not support your hypothesis, don't worry. Negative results are still results. Finding a topic -- 1) use your imagination; 2) go to Exploratorium on the internet; 3) look up "Benham's Disc on the internet (I think it has a wealth of possibilities for science fair projects). Good luck with our research and try to have fun with it. I taught physics for many years -- physics is the science where you can play with toys and call it science!
