Our salaries keep getting cut and I'm really sick of it. Our state budget is causing everyone in our district anxiety every year. I want to find other sources of income to move against this tide of insanity, but don't know where to start. I see teachers teaching courses to other teachers all the time but have no idea how they get those jobs. Ideally I'd like to teach in a college or university, or even a community college. I'm also wondering about online universities and continuing education.

Does anyone have ideas on how teachers can use their skills and experience to make more money by branching out into other things? I have very few ideas on how to begin and not much enthusiasm, since I don't want to take on more work. But at least if I could find a solid path I could work towards something.

The money is not bad, either.....for some teachers, they might be able to supplement ...See More

Other Options Depending what your area of expertise is in and what kind of area you live in, you may find that tutoring could be a lucrative outlet, especially if you are in an affluent area and are a reading specialist or math teacher. If you are certified for high school, you might post in the local paper to see what turns up in any subject. An important consi...See More
