Hi all, I have a new blog up where I discuss funny thoughts, anecdotes, quotes, etc in reference to my job as a 3rd grade math teacher. The site is [link removed]!
I need a play and/or skit for one of our best teacher in our elementary school that's retiring. Also, we have another favorite teacher that's relocating out of state, and we really would like to honor these two teachers. Please, if you have anything that we can use, please e-mail it to me. Don't worry, if we needed to rearrange it a bit we will. Also, please hurry!
Finally, a book all teachers can fall in love with! Learn Me Good is the mostly true story of a former design engineer-turned third-grade math teacher at a public elementary school. His adventures, experiences, and interactions with his students and their parents will have you rolling on the floor, gasping out loud, and nodding your head in understanding sympathy. Pick up your copy of Learn Me Good today, and enjoy the laughter!
This book is really funny and gives a humourous story based around an Ofsted inspector who isn't all he seems!

You can also find this on Amazon, Blackwells, WHSmith

I teach a weekly Catholic Confirmation class to 9th graders. The teacher next door and I would like to do a humurous skit(s) during our last class. This will follow skits by the students where they will mimic us; therefore, our skit can be on the edgy side since the students will expect a certain level of reciprocity when we make fun of them. Any idea's are welcomed
We had the local firefighter cadets come into our preschool age classroom. They demonstrated stop, drop, and roll and then had one of the children try it too. Then they asked that same child what he would do if his clothes caught fire. Despite the demonstration and practice he responded "Go get the hose" So the cadets did the demonstration over again reminding them that this was what to do.

My sister was evacuating my nephews as the toast continued to burn in the toaster after unplugging it. Her six year old began writhing on the floor inside the door saying, "We're supposed to stop, drop, and roll!"
