My 9th grade English class was playing "vocabulary tic-tac-
toe" in teams. Both teams only needed to correctly define
the word "inarticulate" to have three in a row. It was
evident from the looks on my classmates' faces that my
teammates and I were the only one who knew the answer, but
Jason from the opposing team decided to give it a try.

Here was his attempt at a definition:

"Inarticulate. It's like, when you.....you know....you
like want to....but you can't....like....you know....do
something. I don't know!"

My teacher, trying to to laugh, called on me next. I
grinned as I stood up and declared, "Jason is the
definition of inarticulate."
