I have a couple of sweet kids in my class who always have a hard time staying engaged in whole class activities. I teach first grade and would love to see them more involved. They really like being my special helpers, which seems to help, but the rest of the kids in my class get jealous.
I have English, Chinese and Math Glen Doman flashcards for sale. They are in new/near new condition and both the English and Math are complete with books.
I am interested to get the flash cards too. I stay in Singapore as well!

I am interested in researching information about Brain- based learning and it's application in the development of curriculum for at-risk students that are curentlty substance users/abusers. If anyone has information, web- resources or other insights please respond.
Hi! I am a college student working on a research project about internet collaboration related to teaching for understanding (Harvard's Project Zero understanding framework) and Understanding by Design (Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe's framework). I have created message boards that are a bit different from this one for both students and teachers. If there are any teachers here that use either one of these methods, please consider logging on! There are descriptions of the frameworks, and a resources section for helpful resources to learn about the frameworks. The link for the teacher site is [link removed]
If you have any questions or suggestions, please e-mail me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
This may be off topic a bit, but I am also curious as to how and why you feel the Teachers.net chatboard website benefits you in your teaching and curriculum planning. Personally, I think it is great and has helped me with all of my undergraduate work! I am aware that TfU and UbD advocate study groups, and message boards are like global study groups!
PS- I am sorry if this topic is not relevant enough for this chatboard, but it seemed as if it were the most relevant out of all of the topics on teachers.net.
I apologize!

I am a Kindergarten teacher that would eventually like to work on a one on one basis with students with learning disabilities. Through a friend I have heard about a program called NILD, where I could take classes and become an educational therapist. Do any of you know anything about NILD? I am considering taking a course for almost $2,000 and before I do I want to be as informed as possible. Thank you so much!
