I was wondering how different elementary schools shelve their fiction and non-fiction paperback books. Our school does not shelve them with the hardbound books, and keep them in small baskets and/or in bins on rolling carts. We are opening up a new elementary school this fall, and I was looking for a way to do it that is more practical and aesthetically-appealing. What we currently have isn't attractive and limits the books' ability to "stand up." I purchased some of the plastic file cases for the books to go on the shelves, but I am not sure it will go over well with the other "employees" (long story). Any opinions on this/suggestions? Thanks!
Booklady At the last school I was in, the Library Tech there had small size(just smaller than copy paper size) plastic bins/totes that she kept the thin Easy picture books in...most held two author letters and were labeled on the outside as to what went into it.
