Hi there. I am trying to figure out the best way to display leveled readers in the library. I am talking about the small paperback books (Level 1, and 3). This year they were on wire display racks, but they did not fit the books well. Soem suggested putting them in tubs, but I am concerned that primary students, such as grade 1 will have to flip through a tote to find a book. Any other ideas? I have quite a few, and just want them visible and easy to access for the primary students. Thanks!
idea for you :) I use small tubs that are narrow enough that the books can stand upright and you might consider arranging them by topic, to the extent possible. For example, are some of them non- fiction (like about sharks)? KK You can also "feature" selected books, especially if those younger grades are studying particular topics in their classrooms (like family, jobs, plants, and so on). You could also create your own monthly theme in the library and feature books at all grade levels and add decor built around that theme.
