I am looking for any good titles of African American Biographies. I teach 4th grade and our next book report is to be about a Famous African American. Do you know of a good series or specific title?
Do you have any suggestions for newer novels that are good for grade 11 or 12? I recently put "Into the Wild" into our booklist, but other than that, we have only classics.
Our LA Committee is looking to include an author study with leveled novels to include in the curriculum for 4th 5th. Does anyone have suggestions for authors and book titles? Your help is greatly appreciated! :)
I am going to read this novel with a group of 5th grade students with learning disabilities and am not having any luck finding a literature guide. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Students with temperment issues usually love Catcher in the Rye - Holden's alienation feels like their own alienation.
We have the grey toga like clothes drawn for the characters but he is unsure if they wear shoes. I am not familiar enough with this book to say if they do. (The book is at school, we are on spring break and trying to get ahead)
