hi i want to know about is online Montesorri trainig like NAMC {North American Montessori center}is worth doing to do job in teaching? please reply if anyone know about this.

CS I am AMS primary certified and am currently in my 5th year of primary teaching. I finished NAMC's lower elem training last Dec and am now teaching my first lower elementary class. I think if you are somewhat Montessori "educated" or have some prior classroom experience in a Montessori environment, then this program is just fabulous.

Tina They are great. I started training a year ago and completed. They even offer accreditation for curriculums and membership. Very affordable and I learned a lot and feel adequate in montessori instruction. I also called around to see if my trainig would be accepted in public venues and so far it is. I live in Texas.

PT I agree with the other posters. If you are Montessori trained, then using NAMC to upgrade your training is a good idea. If you have not had any training, I would find another program.

I had an assistant who used NAMC for her 3-6 certification and she was awful! I continually had to talk with her, show her presentations, etc. Their manuals...See More

HG I have certainly hired teachers that have not worked out before, and interestingly enough this year I hired a NAMC graduate. I am happy to say that she is doing just a great job. For the most part I think it comes down to personality. I have learned over the years that personality is by far the most important consideration.
