I have a couple of those commercial "hammering" sets. One has farm animals and the other has geometric shapes. The child hammers these tiny "nails" through pre drilled holes onto a corkboard. Over the years, the nails have been disppearing.. I have been in every local hardware store looking for replacement "nails" with nothing coming close. Those black carpet tacks are close but they are too wide and the heads of the tacks are not nice and rounded like the ones with the purchased sets. Does anyone out there have a source for purchasing just the "nails"? They are shiney silver with a rounded head, I appreciate any replies to those who have been able to find these! If I knew what they were called, I could try on line but they all look the same in the pictures. Thanks! maureen

Misty Oh yeah sorry Montessori Service doesn't have the nails. You could try Haba directly at Habausa.com on the side menu you will see a link called Replacement parts which includes a form to fill out. Let us know if you try this and if it works out for you.

Misty Maureen,

I'm glad it worked out for you and who knows I may need them in the future too. Haba has a good reputation, I guess they live up to it!
