I'm looking into an online Montessori training program to become a certified teacher. At this point in my life, I can't afford, nor do I have the time to attend an AMI school. Is that a big deal? Will I have a hard time finding a job if I am not AMI or AMS certified? Thanks!
cjl If possible, I would find a more prominent school - it could be AMI, AMS or there are several others.

a thought I am AMS certified. The training was intense. I know I would not have enjoyed on-line training (perhaps unless I was under the guidance of a trained Montessori lead teacher while doing the training.)

Perhaps you could find a Montessori school that would hire you to work as an assistant while you get your training...tell them you really wan...See More
