Hi All! I am just finishing up my first year of teaching a 1st and 2nd grade multiage class. This year has been more like a combo class but I am looking to do a better job of implementing a true multiage curriculum next year. I felt that the best place to start would be with the writing curriculum. Does anybody have suggestions about the best way to structure my writing instruction to meet the needs of all my students? Thanks!

I have taught a 1/2 class for 10 years. I think that you need to not worry about what grade they are in and worry about where they are at. I have many first graders that can do more than a second grader, and vice versa. If you have a topic for the students to write about, just have them go from there.
