E.F. SingletonIs it a private student? Try talking to the parent to see if they feel the student is still learning from your instruction, and if not, then you can recommend they switch to just working with their other teacher.
E.F. SingletonTry using a group of notes on the piano. Maybe start with 4 pitches. Assign time signature, ignore keys, then add note values on top of the staff. Lastly, add in your pitches by playing around with them and just picking one to place next. It will not be incredible, but it will be a good start.
Hi there, I'm Yasminn another student at music college in London. I would really appreciate it if you could fill out my form as part of my field research for a section of my coursework about music teachers. Thanks!
I am working on a World Peace Song project with teachers and students from around the world. If interested in this project, let me know and I will send you a link to the group page.
This board used to be so active! i am wondering in anyone can share how they set their stage up for performances - when you have a choir, and several selections with dancers or instruments or little skits. How do arrange people on the stage?
While surfing I came across http://www.hapclap.com where quality musicians are providing music education to children of all age groups in all the localities of Jaipur.
It's been a while since I posted on here but I am looking for some ideas for what to do with a 1st grader who cannot participate in holiday songs for our winter concert. I need something alternative that the student can work on independently with little to no guidance from me. Any suggestsions???
Garland/GAI give mine books to read, color by note pages/instrument coloring pages, memory card games with notes/instruments on them, easy word finds, etc.
LisSame as Garland. And I usually send them with the materials to the media center because they usually aren't allowed to stay in the classroom while we are singing the music.
