This is the worst nightmare of a physical education teacher. Don't give up. There is a leader undermining your teacher, try to find the leader of this mess and talk to them about how you need his/her help in getting this class to participate. There is a book--Silver Bullets by Karl Rohnke (spelling) that might help on different activities you might do with this class. One thing is to get a challenge and teachers come in and play.
I am a retire pe teacher. I remember my class as if it was yesterday---all boys. I just kept plugging away and keep the positives of the other classes.

Our PE department has 2 of the 50" Bigen balls, and both of the plugs were destroyed. Does anyone know of a replacement plug that would fit? Thanks, Erica
I am reatking my NB's I am doing Entry 1 over again and 3 assessments. Are there any examples of what a passing entry looks like. Does anyone have any tips they would like to give. Are there any tips on how to study for the assessments; Movement forms, exercise science, biomechanics. Please help, I am really trying to raise my score up.
I am on my 3rd attempt to pass national boards. I am redoing entry #3 and am looking for any help that is out there. I will using volleyball as my focus activity, but any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. I plan on passing this time!!!!!
I'm taking the Praxis II PE for the 3rd time this weekend. The only difference is that I am only taking the content knowledge instead of the health portion. I did well on the PE portion in previous attempts, but not so well on the health. What experience does anyone have on test 0091, without health?

Are they getting rid of all pe teachers? I just returned from a Bal-A-Vis-X workshop and am ready to "quit my day job," which is teaching pe, to promote this program. It incorporates racketballs, beanbags, and balance boards into improving math, reading, behavior problems....basically everything dealing with schools. Anytime I can bounce balls and help kids, I'm gung ho. Actually I am not planning on quitting my teaching job---(I had to wait forever for one of the 2 past pe teachers to finally retire but during that time I took a 17-year maternity leave!) Anyway, check it out on the internet...it's a program which is being used for everyone from 3 to 103 years old...any nursing homes in your area? Check it out, it might just be something you'd enjoy!
