I am a music teacher looking to pick up credits in PE for a teaching endorsement. I teach music overseas and am looking for a different job, but many of the positions I would like to apply for are music/PE combo jobs. Can anyone recommend a good online program? Thanks!
Good Afternoon! If you are currently (or have been) a Secondary Physical Education teacher, please take a few brief minutes to fill out my survey. I am currently a Graduate student at CUNY Brooklyn College, hoping to put together a research piece on Grading Policies & Assessment in Secondary Physical Education.
James, If you would please, forward me a summary of your findings when complete...I'm interested to hear how the results shake out. I hope you gather plenty of information...Good Luck!
This is my second year without a teaching position. Has anyone heard of careers P.E. teachers have went into? I am looking into kinesiotharapy with the V.A. but hard to get into. Can't afford to go back to school with a $42,000 student loan debt.

I think it would be a good idea if it is longer than 2 weeks. In 2 weeks as an educator you can only get to go over so much. There will be a lot of topics to go over in such a little time. Also some students will take this to class so they will not have to take this all year long. We want the students to remain active and not to find the easy way out.

There are so many different ways to incorporate technology into the phys ed curriculum. Due to the ever changing technological advances that our youth actively follow, bringing technology into the gym is becoming more realistic. Having students use their own personal devices may cut costs on your phys ed budget. At the secondary level, it is safe to assume that most students have some sort of smart phone or smart device. There are hundreds of fitness apps that can help them with workouts in and out of school. Ipads are also being introduced which can be used for visual instruction or scoring purposes. Having students stay interested in phys ed is important and showing them that they can use things such as iphones, ipads, ipods, or any other small device will keep things fresh. This is a constantly revolving door of ideas.
