Lesson plans with no equipment

Our principal doesn't see the need to provide equipment for the PE classes. She says there is no money for balls, bats, frisbees, anything.

Does anyone have ideas for games which require no equipment? Thanks in advance...

Susan Heflin How did you plan your jog a thon? we are in similar circumstances with no funds and or equipment. We need to get something planned to help our department. Sassy So sorry I am just getting back to this board. Got a new teaching position and have been running around like crazy!! As far as the jogathon, we basically set it up in a week for a one day event. We along with our parents came up with some great prizes for the top fundraisers. Got a new teaching position and have been running around like crazy!! As far as the jogathon, we basically set it up in a week for a one day event. We along with our parents came up with some great prizes for the top fundraisers. We had one of our PE teachers shave his hair into a mohawk and color it pink. Top students got a shave! They were so into it. Once we camped out on the roof of our gym if the school hit a certain number. The parents took care of the rest. They supplied us with bottled water, snacks and popcycles. The got us a DJ for the day so the students had music while jogging. Basically when a student came to class they attempted as many laps as they could. They had been given envelopes for their pledge money and donors. It was so simply put together but our parents were a huge help. As far as Wong's management, I have not read all of it but it seems he is really about procedures and I agree with that completely. Procedures help the students know what to expect and set the tone for hopefully good behavior. Sorry I don't know more about what he says. carol Sassy, your jog-a-thon sounds great! And the fact that it only took a week or less of planning is something that people need to understand. I do a club "Chipmunk Chase" for the families of my after-school club. This takes just about NO planning. And it's still so much fun for everyone.
