I am wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions in dealing with my 4th and 5th grade classes. The boys are very competitive, to the point of hurting one another, and the girls are afraid to participate because they don't want to get hurt.

It is a stuggle each week to work with these students. We play a lot of games together and I think what I need is some ideas for Co-operative games and activities.

Any book suggestions, websites, advice, ?????? Please :)

For example in handball, I use a pink ball for the girls and a blue ball for everyone which the boys usually play with and 1 or 2 competitive girls. I make 2 or 3 teams that have girls and boys so that the...See More
