Worse, Russia has been or has been trying to hack elections in Germany, France, Britain, and the Netherlands.
On the other hand, we have the NSA that spies on everyone and the CIA that screws with elections all across the planet. I cannot decide if the Russia thing in America is paranoia or just a simple case of projection of America's sins on Russia.
I mean, go to Mexico, and ask them if Russia has ever screwed with their election. Then ask them what America has done to their elections.
And one more time, there is NO "publicly" available evidence that Russia did anything!
PS: By the way, the key line in the linked article is "The NSA declined to comment." The NSA is the agency that should know!
Bob R/CAI care far less about what he says than what he does. And all indications are, he will do LESS THAN NOTHING about the ongoing attacks by Russia. Less than nothing, meaning he will actually REWARD Russia. #BenedictTrump.
It was the Great Depression and Keynes who destroyed th...See MoreETS is right about "when the demand already exists?" This was part of the point of the article that the author did not get. The idea that supply could drive the economy had an element of truth to it in the 1800s when technology could not produce enough to meet socially expected needs.
It was the Great Depression and Keynes who destroyed the idea, along with images like the one below which demonstrated the lack of demand - or alternately, the capacity to produce - can drive prices below the cost of production. The picture reminds me of "cash for clunkers", because both are an example of the destruction of wealth!
Part of what has changed is our technology. We now have the capacity to produce basic needs for everyone, but capitalism is standing in the way. People should not have to do without food, health care, education, and housing, but they do because capitalism is always trying to "create" - again, "create" - shortages.
For example, to create shortages we currently have factories, tools, and resources, along with large numbers of workers sitting idle.
The point: although we will still have markets, capitalism has outlived its usefulness.
Bob R/CASupply does not create demand. If you think it does, go grab a pile of rocks and try to sell them by the side of the road. When they don't sell, go get twice as many rocks, and see if there's suddenly a demand.
I do like ... "I mean, have you seen the other guys?"
Really inspires confidence and tells us what the Democrats want. They have had plenty of time to write their Obamacare fixes, Immigration Reform, and Tax Cuts for the poor ... but they are now just the party of no.
Once upon a time the Republicans were the party of the rich and the Democrats were the party of the middle class and poor. The Republicans have not changed, but, thanks to Bill Clinton, the Democrats are now the party of Wall Street. That is, both parties are owned by the rich in this country.
So who is surprised that the Democrats would do a Republican health care plan called Obamacare, which was a copy of Romneycare? Let me say that again, Obamacare was originally a Republican plan!!!!
IMHO, if you are supporting either major party and demonizing the other, you are clueless regarding who is interested in making this country into something other than a third world nation in which the vast majority are serfs to the rich.
I mean, think about it! This nation has lousy health care, and lousy transportation and our mass transit, compared to other countries, is nonexistent. We have defunded education, and spent the money on putting people in prison so they can work as slaves for the corporate elite. Heck, it gets worse! Of the three essentials of life - air, water, and food - some are doing without potable water and millions do without enough food.
And in the midst of this, neither party has any solutions! Just why anyone is surprised is beyond me. The rich masters of the Democrats do not want a solution, but neither do the rich masters of the Republicans.
Some here need to borrow a quarter and buy a clue. The opposing sides are no longer Democrats and Republicans. Both parties are on the same side! Or as George Carlin put it, "It is a big f*cking club, and you ain't in it!" And neither is the other 99% of America.
EasTexSteveThe main problem with Obamacare, is that as it is, it will die on its own. And, as I have said before, healthcare is like anything else - you get what you pay for.
Bob R/CAGates spoke about *Syrian refugees* and said the US and Europe should provide aid and refuge. Here he is specifically talking about migrants seeking economic opportunity.
No kidding! Climate change will cause massive movement of people - even in the Americas. We should be setting up an aid plan to help people stay were they are rather than have them sneaking across our borders.
Yet, Venezuela is a great example. We will not help them because we want regime change. The Venezuelan government is reluctant to take aid from the US for fear that two out of every three aid workers will be with the CIA.
The fruits of our foreign policy will be bitter indeed.
Long Time LurkerApparently, Corinthian Colleges is one example. DeVry and ITT also made fraudulent claims. Then there is Navient. These institutions lied, made false promises, or otherwise defrauded students. The borrowers defense against repayment does not excuse all student loan debt. Borrowers who were not defrauded are not eligible for this relief.
"December 7, 1941, a date that will live in inquiry. Was it Japan? Could have been China. Could be lots of people."
9/11: "Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror. My good friend Alex Jones thinks the federal government was behind it. I've sent private investigators to Hawaii, I'll let you know in two weeks."

If Congress doesn't act to protect our nation under attack, it's clear, no one will.
