I have a 3 year old with special needs. Her teacher said that I should get her rebus books. I only know of The Jacket I Wore in the Snow. Any other suggestions? Thank you
Kudos to you for reading to your child! So many moms don't do enough of this with our kiddos with disabilities. You're giving your child a precious gift!
Are you needing adapted books with more standardized picture symbols or do you just need typical rebus stories? If I know which, I can direct you to a few sources. If you want to share a bit more about your child, I might be able to give better suggestions. (How does your child communicate? Does he/she hear and see? Can he use his hands and arms to manipulate a standard book?
I may have to transfer from Kindergarten to Preschool at mid-year. I'm sort of looking forward to it but also have some butterflies. Will I still do centers and, if so, how will they differ from what I'm doing in Kindergarten? Any advice would be appreciated.
