Thanks to both of you for your valuable input....I appreciate it. What should my first step be? Is the same license needed for both daycare provider and preschool teacher? Also, since it will be a preschool (not a childcare/daycare situation) are there certain regulations or curriculums required by my state that need to be followed (or do I have freedom to teach what I want to teach). I hope you don't mind my questions. It really helps to be advised by people who have actually done it! Thanks again.

I have a separate insurance policy for my preschool. The state licensing requirements specified how much coverage I needed.

maureen Finding anyone willing to insure us was a real pain. They only want to insure the big places with tons of children. When we first asked our carrier we had for the house, they just weren't sure how to handle what we were asking. If I remember correctly, we ended up just being able to add coverage to our home policy and it didn't make much of a diffe...See More
