I am working on completing my second set of methods. This week I have been working on my writing my lesson plans for my teaching block weeks in a pre-k classroom. My teaching unit is about insects. Does anyone have any cute outdoor play ideas that would match a unit on insects? I am open to any other ideas about teaching children about insects in the classroom as well. Does anyone have any ideas?
Lisa I suggest having drawing/writing materials, magnifying glasses, and bug homes for them to look for insects, catch and observe them, draw or write what they see, then let the bugs go. You can have the kids glue or staple streamers to paper plates and slide them on their arms to become butterflies, running and watching their streamers fly behind them...See More
