I am a retired math teacher, a Christian, and have been creating and publishing Bible math puzzles for about 11 years.
When solved, the puzzles yield an answer from the New Testament.
Most of my monthly recipients are day school Christian teachers in the USA and other countries. Also, recipients are Sunday school teachers, churches, and chaplains.
If you are interested in reviewing some sample puzzles for possible use with your students, contact me and I will send some to you. The puzzles will come as attachments to my follow-up e-mail.
The puzzles are entitled The Bible Learning Challenger.
Again, the puzzles are absolutely free to teacher recipients.
I would love to have some of these puzzles to use. We are a new church plant and at this stage in our growth we only have resources for 1 class of Children's Church; I am looking for something for the older children to work on during the church service while they sit with their parents. Thanks!!

Do not be weary i...See MoreMaking Disciples...our theme for the week this year.... Blessings to all of you who are led by the Holy Spirit to nurture and minister to children and families starting in our own families, touching the hearts of children and families in our schools and reaching out to communities...whether nearby or throughout the world.
Do not be weary in well doing, but be strengthened by Him and know that you are not in this alone.... Our Lord is our strength and there are many of us throughout the world who share His ministry with you.
I will be lifting you in prayer and thanksgiving for all you do.
If you have the time, could you please answer a few questions for my research? I understand you are busy and if you cannot respond I completely understand. Please email your responses to:

your responses will remain confidential. Thank you!
1. Does your school have an organized peer support program in place for students with disabilities or assign specific students to work with exceptional students? If so, could you briefly describe them?
2. What is the ratio of general students to exceptional students in your classes?
3. In what ways do you promote peer interaction in your classroom? To what extent do your general students interact with your exceptional student(s)?
4. Have you observed improved performance by the exceptional student in this situation?
5. Have you observed increased interaction of the student with his/her peers as a result of peer interaction or peer support?
6. What challenges and successes have you had with incorporating peer support activities for exceptional students?
We are paying for our fun snow days...we have to come on Good Friday for 1/2 a day. Sister (bless her!) wants us to treat the day like a retreat. Any ideas for any grade? We are k4-8TH Miss Angel
I also do lead up activities that incl...See MoreLutheran Schools are in session a half day Good Friday. We have 11:00 church service, then dismissal, but we also have had a full week of Holy Week activities.
My second grade...as in every grade I have taught, do activities to dramatize Palm Sunday, Maundy (Command) Thursday and Good Friday.
I also do lead up activities that include science projects such as making a crystal garden and imagining we are in the garden with Jesus.
We do the palm branch waving...we make the branches and children take turn being Jesus and riding a stick donkey that I have made.
On Maundy Thursday we replicate the Lord's supper with grape juice and matzos, putting our desks in a long line and a candle in the middle...and all the lights are out.
We also wash each other's feet...I match the children up, have them bring their own towels.
We have all school devos Mon.,Tues. and Wed....short time in church at the start of the day and do the 11:00 service for Thursday and Friday. We have found that with the 11:00 services on Wed. during Lent, also, seniors come because many don't like to be out in the evening for the dinner (before each Wed. Lenten service) and the hymn sing and 7:00 service.
For seasonal events, I also make my own word searches on a free online wordsearch site. That way I can customize it for our faith concepts/words.
I customize my calendar for the week with a mini palm branch for Palm Sunday, a chalice for Thursday and a black cross with a red heart for Friday. For Easter, I have made a large rock out of const. paper, with a brad. that has a stone that may be moved away. There is nothing behind the stone. Children speculate beforehand what is behind the stone. When they discover "nothing" I say, "exactly!" and then we do the lesson about Jesus was no longer in the tomb, but had arisen.
I have a set of "Resurrection eggs" with symbols of Holy Week. These are good for teaching, as well. I would think if you had a set of those, you could use them for a Good Friday lesson together with classes.
You might also screen and have an all-school showing of an Easter Story DVD.
Time is getting short. I hope you get some ideas....Do you have student choirs? You could do an all-school chapel with singing.
JomanI was there! It was such a grand time. I haven't been on here for several months. I hope you had a great time!

Lady Jit was great! I am pushing to go next year in Boston, but I don't think it will happen. I have been to several and always post to see if anyone on tnet is going, but have never managed to meet up with anyone. Maybe next year!
