I was wondering if it was possible for a college literature teacher to choose what book they would teach from. If so, could you teach an entire literature course on Dante's Divine Comedy alone. I have read the entire work and analyzed it and I find it to show a large range of literary concepts and poetic proses to be able to cover a broad range of things with just the work alone.
