Hello all! I am currently a student teacher, and have a couple questions about differentiation at the middle school level. Since the idea is to engage all students using various techniques, how does on reach out to a kinesthetic learner when reading literature in the classroom? I'm looking for something beyond readers theatre. While I've been student teaching, I've been trying to make my lessons more visual. Students often say that they understand something better when they can see it. Since the only form of technology I have in the classroom is an overhead, how else can I make my lesson visual, especially when reading literature? It's such a challenge trying to make sure that each student is engaged. How does everyone keep up?

ALWAYS I randomly call on students using sticks or cards with numbers and then write dow...See More
