What should I focus on for the state assessment?

I work in a 6th grade 12:1:1 class with 10 students who have multiple disabilities. I have one child with autism, two with ADHD and the rest with other health impairments. I want my kids to do more than just read and answer the questions. What other kinds of activities so you use to develope comprehension and a love o f reading? I teach a 4/5 grade split.

Wright Group Lead 21 Reading Program

Is anyone using McGraw-Hill's Wright Groups's new Lead 21 reading program? I teach kindergarten and was told to start Lead 21 this year with my students. I am extremely frustrated with this program. I am really interested in hearing your experiences with Lead 21. Thank you so much!!!
