Students learn to write by writing. E Gads! What a concept! Next thing you know someone will try to convince us that kids learn to walk by walking and learn to read by reading. It is presumptuous to think one can teach writing.
So in answer to the question, “How Do teachers teach kids to write?” the answer is...
i am a recent university graduate, an aspiring teacher who has spent the past year and a half teaching at the elementary level. I am committed on improving reading, writing and organizational skills of young students. I have particular experience with children that have learning disabilities (i.e. reading and writing). Improvement of a child's academic skills and comprehension of the material that they are reading is crucial, and i believe that grades are secondary. i am passionate in teaching and want what is best for the child, and I understand that every child learns differently, and it's something that translates into my teaching.
Writing prompts that support your efforts to teach not only writing, but social studies, history, geography, science, language, arts, religion… even pop culture!
