I teach 4th grade, but I am needing some help. My school is in a different situation. Our K-3 classes use Harcourt Reading, and our 4-6 grades use Scott Foresman. There are some gaps between the programs. One of these is "theme." Could you explain to me how Reading Street approaches theme? It is on our 4th grade tests, but it is never introduced in our text. They must assume that they have developed that skill in the previous grades. I would appreciate if you could scan a lesson on theme for me to view. Thank you so much for your help!
