The FWA is working hard to keep radio stations on the air in West African nations in order to spread important, factual information about ebola to the citizens of those nations.
Virtually all citizens of the West African nations have access to the radio broadcasts, for many the only source of information, but radio stations struggle to remain on the air due to the challenges of keeping their equipment running, generators fueled, etc.
So, for those passionate about stopping the spread of ebola, here's your opportunity to do something concrete to help prevent the spread of ebola: donate to the FWA. I have and will continue to do so.

Hi! I am brainstorming on instructional materials I could use to make my lesson on Colors of Light more convincing to my students. Would love to hear great ideas.

1. Make a long, narrow cut in a piece of poster board. Fill a tall clear drinking glass with water. Set it on a piece of paper in front of a sunny window. Put the poster board with the slit between the window and the glass. Watch the light split into colors.
2. Need 3 flashlights, red, blue and green cellophane and tape. Tape cellophane over each flashlight and turn them on. Place flashlights about 4 in apart and shine on a white wall. (one can be placed on a 4in box to raise it above the others.) Make sure all 3 colors overlap.
3. Shine a flashlight up through a clear plastic cup filled with water. Flashlight should be on the bottom of the cup, light hitting the ceiling. You should see the rainbow of colors.
4. Shallow pan of water and a mirror on its side can do the same thing. Put in sunny window. Put hand in front of mirror, but not in front of sun. You should see rainbow on your hand.

RobLook on Google for "kinetic molecular model." On 9/15/14, veronica wrote: > how does the motion of molecules change when the > temperature of the substance change?
