Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make lectures more interesting? Any tips for using power points, or a smart board? How can I get students to be less sleepy, and more engaged in the lesson?

Lynne in TN Cultivate an engaging style. Use video clips in your Power Points- a lot of book publishers provide them. If you make flip charts for your smart board, write on them during the lecture, even if it's just underlining a main point. It is easy to close the flip chart without saving it and then reopening it fresh and clean for the next class.
