I am moving from kindergarten to a 2nd-3rd grade combination class next year. My main challenge is going to be teaching math, as the standards are very different for 2nd and 3rd grades. I am going to need some hands-on math activities that kids can do independently while the other grade level is getting direct instruction. Does anyone have any good resource books, websites, or ideas of activities I could have kids working on? Thanks!

Very grade appropriate, and standards based.

Which math series do you use? We are using Pearson, and there are loads of great supplemental activities included. More than I can use in my math time.

Now at 2nd grade I noticed that the math projects at K-5 Math Teaching Resources are labeled for grades 3-5. Were second graders able to do them or is there a 2nd grade book, too?
