Hey everyone...what sorts of typing-tutor software do you use in your classroom? How well do you think it works, both in getting students to touch-type and how do students like it?
I've been using an online program called Dance Mat Typing. My students like it. If your computers will support support them, Mavis Beacon and Type to Learn Jr are good . I can no longer use them due to our lab set up. I miss them.

I use Mavis Beacon, it has good graphics and ideas suited for typing lessons.
They have sound, but can be used without the sound.

Does anyone out there know anything about using computer software as a therapy tool? Is it an effective form of remediation? What areas of therapy can you use it for (artic, voice, etc)?
In this day in age with more and more technological advances coming out, should students be able to use the latest technology even though some schools and teachers believe it is harming them more than helping them?
