I have a class set of iPads. My administrators want us to begin thinking about going as paperless as possible! Any ideas? What do you use to put PDF files on your iPads? And what do you use to annotate?

Sra p i'm new at this, just got my ipad last month. We are using this App to open documents (PDF and others): GoodReader. students can write on your document, even email it to you.

Has anyone ever used text messaging in the classroom? Since so many kids have phones, what about saying, "Raise your hand or send me a text when you know the answer." Have you tried it?

Carl My personal browser varies by task. If I'm doing system admin or programming, I might use Konqueror (built in FTP,SSH,NFS,tabbed browsing and split windows are great). Online tool for assessing your multiple choice tests

Found this great online tool that can be used with any multiple choice test. Students take tests on paper like they normally do. After finishing they login and record their answers. Tests are automatically graded and an item analysis is done. They are offering free accounts right now.
