I'm also looking for great projects that cover the third grade curriculum, yet are on the iPad totally. I don't know about any of you, but I'm extremely frustrated that the iPads don't run FLASH applications. That means there are many webquest, etc., that won't run on the iPads. Ugh! Frustrating!
I'm eager to hear of your best practices using the iPad@

Hi - Just curious to know if anyone has used this software in their classroom this past year? - it seems to be a cheap alternative to a smartboard - which we can't afford in our small school. Wondering if it will be worth it to download? Thanks in advance for your comments. :)
I see how it can be great for students to do searches that they may struggle with and is good for students with visual impairments who cannot always access larger screen settings, but I also wonder if it will take away from vocabulary skills if one can simply say what they want to find.... any opinions?
I just read this article and it is really interesting in regards to how we remember things and the impact the computer has on memory function..[link removed]
Do you teach your students how to scrutinize information? If so, how?
I am looking for tracing software for tablet pc computer. We want our kinder students to trace a path on tablet screen to learn lettering. Thanks in advance.
Found this great online tool that can be used with any multiple choice test. Students take tests on paper like they normally do. After finishing they login and record their answers. Tests are automatically graded and an item analysis is done. They are offering free accounts right now.
