I was recently introduced to the Second Life online virtual world in my technology innovations grad class. I am interested to know how educators have incorporated this program into their classrooms, if at all. Have you used Second Life in an educational setting? Was it a successful learning tool?
In high school classes, I would not allow my students to take notes on a laptop. Using a laptop in a high school classroom is too disruptive (in my own experience in a classroom as a teacher.)
You could certainly try it when you are teaching. In the meantime, I guess you will have to use a paper and pencil.

A group and me is conducting a small research project in that we are trying to determine the overall feeling of the educational community about technology. We would love to hear any opinions on this matter especially from education professionals.
