I usually chat on the music teachers board, but I need some help. I am taking an online class about wikis, blogs, podcasts, and skypes in the classroom and our subject this week is wikis. I teach general music K-3rd grades. Our instructor wants us to create a wiki that we can use either with our students or fellow teachers. Any ideas? Thanks
Jamison Hey Julia, what online class are you taking? It's pretty cutting edge to use wikis. You may want to try the Wiki Blackboard. All of the underlying infrastructure is already set up (it uses the same engine as Wikipedia, including mathematical, scientific, and possibly, musical notation), and it is just waiting for content. julia The online class was called "Wikis, Blogs, Podcasts, and Skypes" and is free through elearning in Alabama. I plan to have a blog on my school faculty page for student response to my lessons in music class. Our current server does not have a wiki setup to use as part of our school website.
