Yes. Tengo hambre de bistec is fine, or also: Se me antoja un bistec or: Se me apetece un bistec

Daniel Hanson "Se me antoja" is what naturally comes to mind. It is what Mexicans would say.

In Spain, at least, they would use "Se me apetece".

I am hesitant to use "tengo hambre de".
