The trips are 8 to 24 days in length and are designed and discounted to be interesting and affordable for teachers. GEEO provides teachers educational materials and the structure to help them bring their experiences into the classroom. The trips are open to all nationalities of K-12 and university educators and administrators, as well as retired educators. Educators are also permitted to bring along a non-educator guest.
Detailed information about each trip, including itineraries, costs, travel dates, and more can be found at [link removed].
American Leadership is an NETC summer program that strives to offer the highest quality study abroad experience for high school students. Our mission is to provide opportunities for cross-cultural understanding, historical awareness, foreign language exposure and personal growth.
Ultimately, the program offers an exceptional preparation for college and insight into future career interests for students (we also operate in partnership with the Princeton Review).
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
American Leadership is seeking experienced teachers, counselors, coaches, and school/community leaders around the country to work with our annual summer programs to Europe, China, Peru and/or Australia.
The role of the "Teacher Counselor" is to encourage student applications to the program throughout the year in his or her community, as well as to facilitate pre-departure trip orientation and preparation information. Teacher Counselors will then chaperone students during the group's two weeks abroad, and later complete a post-trip evaluation for future program improvements.
If you want to pursue an M.A. in Arabic, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian, you should take a look at the Middlebury Language Schools. The programs are 6 weeks long and you can get your MA in four summers or a combination of time abroad and summer(s). Financial aid is available!
I think my previous post went to the wrong place ("Field Trips"). Anyway, I want to be sure to brag about CHA tours. I will be taking my fourth group to Europe in July, and expect the same efficient, professional quality of guides, hotels, motor coach, etc., that I have experienced on past tours. They have always been first class!
Lest reviewers think Shrewsbury High School was the only victim of Mariden USA's unscrupulous business practices, I received this correspondence today from Maud Birney, a French teacher who works in Cecil County, Maryland.
"My name is Maud Birney. I teach French in a small high school in Cecil County Maryland. I am emailing regarding the comments you made in diverse web venues regarding Mariden USA.
I am also a very dissatisfied and heart broken costumer of Mariden Usa. We were supposed to leave on June 27 and they announced me today that they were not able to secure airplane seats for our group on this date...
Two weeks before the trip, they are moving the dates of the trip and offering us a similar trip on July 11. Some of the parents cannot travel during these dates and we have been offered callously a voucher for next year trip.
You seemed on your blog as irate as I am right now and I was hoping you could give me some advice on how to go about this situation."
Again, I urge extreme caution when considering travel with Mariden USA.

Peru is an incredible place to visit and it offers so many possibilities with Machu Picchu as the highlight. Depending on what you want to do we can offer one or a combination of things: tours, service learning or a combination of both. My PHS students are offered a range of options so, some stay longer. It all depends on what you are interested in doing.
In the meantime you can take a look at our website: [link removed]".
