I’m so glad I called as NETC seems to have the worst service rating out of all these companies. NETC is smaller then most of the other companies, but they have more unresolved complaints then any other company. This is funny because all the sales rep could do was talk about how great their services is and that’s why they’re more expensive. Interesting enough when
I talked to the representative at the Better Business Bureau to try and understand what this information means. What she told me was NETC doesn’t currently have a rating because there are too many unresolved complaints. All of the other companies currently have a satisfactory rating.
I did ask the NETC sales rep about this. She said one of the senior managers was going to call me directly. I’ll keep you updated. For now it looks like I’m going to stay with ACIS. If you want to do your own homework, I listed the Better Business Bureau link for NETC below.

One to check out. I traveled with Earth Explore a few years ago and did a great program in Hawaii. They work with the University of Hawaii through their EE Foundation. They stress hands on science, history and environmental education, and it is. The Foundation's role is to connect kids to nature and the planet thru hands on study so very timely.

The cost is 1725 Canadian for the tour. I'm thinking about leaving earlier and stopping in Rome or London. I am currently looking at flights from Toronto to Cairo.

Hi, new to this board. I'm a history teacher wanting to investigate writing a grant to travel. Can anyone direct me to some legit, legal companies that offer them?

I'm looking for recommendations for a good beach in North Carolina for a summer vacation. I'd like to avoid some place that is overly crowded, such as Myrtle Beach or Ocean City, MD. I'd like a variety of restaurants. Any ideas?

My husband and I are in our late 20's and vacation there EVERY year with my parents and our (now 10) year old daughter. It is not crowded like Myrtle Beach but is a very neat little town with everything you need nearby. I have pics if you are interested.

In Notes from the Jungle, John Price, the Principal of Jerudong International School in Brunei, explores every aspect of international education. He reflects on the aims of international schools in a period of global confrontation. He examines secularism as a feature of international education. He discusses the challenges of being a headmaster in the Far East and the trials and tribulations of expatriate life. He analyses Chinglish and Minglish, the psychology of globe-trotting teachers, the practice of diplomacy and even revisits Somerset Maugham. He takes the reader on journeys around Brunei, but also to Borobudur, Hanoi, Sabah and the hill stations of Malaysia. This is the first book ever to show what teaching in an international school is really like. Notes from the Jungle is a roller-coaster of adventure, invective and practical educational philosophy. It takes stock of this vibrant sector and points the direction for future development. This is the perfect book for anyone considering working in an international school. It is also very funny.
What the critics said:
'I laughed my breeches off.' James Brooke
‘A riveting exposé of headmastering in the outside lane of education.’ Matthew Arnold
We have a group of 26 adults so far going to Egypt for 12 days leaving the evening of December 25th from JFK coming from Toronto or Vancouver, but could be from wherever you are, Canada or USA. If interested and fits into your holiday schedule or know of others, just email for more info. A great price and an incredible itinerary.
