Sorry to ask about the CIS Fairfax fair again, but I just looked at the updated list of schools attending and the vacancies. They have none in my field or my husband's field. My husband is taking the Praxis II for Elementary Ed, so he'll be certified soon, but that isn't until after the fair so he can't even present himself as a certified Elem. teacher yet. But that still leaves me with no positions to interview for, and we'll both need a spot. So would it be worth it for us to attend?

Dave -> Teaching Couple Well depends how much is attending going to cost you? If there was really a school you liked and wanted to interview with, just because you wanted to make an impression for possible future vacancies, and it would be easy and inexpensive to attend I'd go. Dave 3 hour drive, no positions, and CIS... I wouldnt go, though I wouldnt give up lots of the CIS schols and 2nd tir lower 1st tier schools are still looking.

Teaching Couple Thanks for your advice. My husband and I have talked it over at length and have ultimately decided to go. We'll check it out, listen to some school presentations, and maybe make some contacts. It really isn't a bad drive, and we do have friends in Fairfax that we weren't sure we'd be able to see, but since it sounds like we won't have to be tied to...See More
