I just found Google docs. It sounds wonderful, but I was frustrated that the table I created in Word did not upload and download properly and that I could not merge cells, etc while in Google docs. Have any of you used this with success?

Freelink.org is a site I found recently that I really like. You can post your favorite bookmarks there to share with others. They need no password, only your webaddress. Be sure that if you sign up you use the username that you want to be part of the url. I made one to share with colleagues and one to share with students (game sites, etc.).

I used Hotchalk as my class web page last year and loved its simlicity. They are in the process of making changes to it, so I can only hope it will still be as useful and easy as it was. It is free, and you can upload documents and powerpoints. I didn't use it, but it also has the option of using it for assignments, gradebook, and class rosters.

What did you not like about Hotchalk? I am looking at this solution right now and would love some input from an end user with experience using the product.

I've used freelink.org for a couple of y...See More

Vicki I love Google Docs! The ability to work on documents with a group is great.

techTeacher I'm experimenting with HotChalk right now. I really like the tools that are part of it - the library, the ability to create my own media database and share it with my teachers, and all the resources.

For collaboration though, I've used Zoho.com. The interfaces are nearly identical to Office 03 and I thought that would be easier for my stud...See More
