Compounding my struggle is that I've never taught elementary level students before, so while I'm able to alter some of my upper level activities to suit younger kids, that doesn't work for much.
I've scoured the internet and come up with a few...but not a summer session's worth.
Any ideas of your own, or anywhere you might point me on the net, would be greatly appreciated. PS the many excellent online based activities won't help me here; I need physical hands on activities.

Hi! I am working on my dissertation on the use of mnemonics in third grade classes in math instruction. I still need some mnemonics that address graphing (bar/line) and addition with regrouping. If you have any that you use and would be wiling to share for this project I would be very grateful.
Hi! Anyone out there have a 3/4 combo that would like to have penpals from California? I currently have 27 students enrolled for the fall. We are in a small town called Knights Ferry in the Sierra Foothills. Thanks, lisa
I am searching for a new read aloud for this school year as I am tired of my same old ones (Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Poppy, Little House in the Big Woods). What is your absolute favorite read aloud during the school year and your favorite read aloud for the first day(s) of school? Thanks!
I am going to give Mr. Popper's Penguins another try this year. I personally don't care for the book, but like to read books that have movies out. When I read it a few years ago, I didn't like that he released the penguins at the North Pole. I know, picky.
CourtneySome of my favorites are Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism, The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles, and The Mysterious Case of I.M. Fine (I think that is what it is called- it definitely has I.M. Fine in the title)
Hi, I am currently taking a class on co-teaching and collaboration. For this class, I need to conduct a quick survey (9 questions) on co-teaching and would appreciate your help. It's completely anonymous. Thanks!!!
