I am giving a third grade boy extra help in reading comprehension. What are some ways I can help him? He reads fluently, but just has trouble answering questions about what he read. Thanks!

Here is a link to Reading Comprehension worksheets which will help students in grade 3 to 8.
Before having him find answers, have him look for key words or phrases in the questions themselves. Have him determine: Are they asking for an opinion? Is it a fact I can find in the article? Do In need to compare two things?
For answers that can be found in the text, I'd recommend having him go back and highlight exactly where he found the answers.
Also, as his teacher/parent/tutor, if you can pinpoint which specific types of questions he's having trouble with, you can more accurately target your instruction.
