I am working with a 3rd grade teacher with a bad attitude. I know for a fact that the teacher is VERY unhappy teaching and seems to be taking it out and the kids and me. She is constantly yelling at her students and she screamed at me infront of other teachers. I did not respond to her, I just walked away. I have told the assistant Principal about how she yells at her kids all day long, but she's not going to do anything, so that is a dead end. I have the classroom right next to her and am very uncomfortable when I have to walk passed her room. I have tried to be nice to her, but she has such an attitude that you can't even approach her. What can I do??

That sounds like a difficult situation. Do you know why the teacher is so unhappy? Is she having difficulty with her class, having personal troubles, just not enjoying the teaching profession any more? dan4thgr Don't approach her. If she is nasty in front of others just say what a beautiful day you are having, and move on. In private just yawn in her face and move on
